Accessibility Statement

Last reviewed: 26 May 2026

Our Commitment

1PRO Solutions is committed to making 1-pro.net accessible to the widest possible audience, including people with disabilities. We design, build, and maintain the site in line with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882), and the harmonised standard EN 301 549.

Conformance Status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. They define three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.

1-pro.net is fully conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Fully conformant means that the content meets all of the Level A and Level AA Success Criteria of WCAG 2.1. Where third-party content (for example, embedded social or analytics widgets) is outside our direct control, we monitor it and provide accessible alternatives on request.

Accessibility Features Implemented

This site includes the following native accessibility features:

Keyboard Navigation

  • Skip-to-content link is the first focusable element on every page.
  • All interactive controls are reachable by keyboard alone.
  • Mobile menu and search overlays trap focus while open and return focus to the trigger button on close.
  • Esc closes all dialogs, overlays and the accessibility widget.
  • Logical tab order is maintained throughout the site.
  • Visible :focus-visible indicators (gold outline, 2 px, 2 px offset) on every interactive element.

Screen Reader Support

  • Semantic HTML5 landmarks (main, nav, header, footer, article).
  • Every section labelled via aria-labelledby or explicit aria-label.
  • All decorative icons marked aria-hidden="true"; meaningful icons given accessible names.
  • Disclosure components (service accordion, mobile menu) use aria-expanded and aria-controls.
  • Mobile menu and search overlays expose role="dialog" with aria-modal="true".
  • Search form validates input and announces errors via role="alert".

Visual Design

  • Text colour contrast ratios meet or exceed 4.5:1 against their background (WCAG 1.4.3); large text and UI components meet at least 3:1 (WCAG 1.4.11).
  • Content reflows without horizontal scrolling at 200 % text zoom (WCAG 1.4.10).
  • No information is conveyed by colour alone (WCAG 1.4.1) — icons, text, or shape always reinforce meaning.
  • Persistent Accessibility Widget in the bottom-left corner offers text-size, high-contrast, link-underline, and reduced-motion controls. Settings are remembered on this device.

Motion and Animation

  • All animations and transitions respect the operating-system setting prefers-reduced-motion (WCAG 2.3.3).
  • A "Reduce motion" toggle in the Accessibility Widget disables animations independent of the OS setting.

Forms

  • Every form control has a programmatic label (visible or via aria-label).
  • Validation errors are announced via role="alert" and linked through aria-describedby.
  • Search field uses type="search" for appropriate mobile keyboards.

How We Test

1PRO Solutions assesses accessibility through a combination of automated and manual review:

  • Automated: axe-core via jest-axe in CI on every commit, plus eslint-plugin-jsx-a11y at lint time.
  • Browser tooling: Lighthouse Accessibility, axe DevTools, WAVE.
  • Manual: keyboard-only walkthroughs of every page; screen-reader spot-checks with VoiceOver (macOS / iOS), NVDA, and TalkBack; 200 % zoom and reflow checks.
